Phebi.AI is the first market research software to combine generative AI with  human speech and emotional intelligence

Phebi adds quickly and affordably deliver summaries of what people said alongside what they actually said and their nonconscious emotions when they said it

London, UK, April 19, 2023 – Phebi Ltd. (Phebi.AI), creator of innovative software that combines proven behavioral science with voice tech and AI to deliver emotional intelligence for quantitative and qualitative health, market, and customer experience research, today announced that it has extended its use of AI from identifying nonconscious emotion to using generative AI to summarize and enable additional interaction with research results. The new version of Phebi offers AI-generated summaries of what people say in audios and videos, including those collected during survey research and in-depth interviews, recorded at call centers, and posted on brand-specific, community, and social media websites, plus a window for further exploration of responses along with recordings of what was actually said and scores of people’s underlying nonconscious emotions.

‘Clients want market researchers and CX professionals to provide new insights quickly and affordably, even at scale. Until now, it’s been next to impossible to quickly get meaningful summaries of large data sets, especially those common to qual and CX work,’ said Mike Page, Phebi’s Co-founder and CEO. ‘Now, Phebi customers have the option to get AI-generated summaries that help them see the big picture more quickly. Because the goal of research is to better understand people and predict what they will do, Phebi is unique among companies who recently announced generative AI capabilities because we combine AI-generated summaries with the ability to better understand people by enabling researchers to hear what they actually said and revealing their nonconscious emotions while they were speaking.’

Page continued, ‘The IIeX and MRS innovation awards we’ve won show that Phebi has already successfully applied voice tech, behavioral science, and AI to market research in pragmatic, high-value ways. The industry is in the early days of how generative AI will be used in research. In this first release of our generative AI capabilities, we’re providing new functionality that enables researchers to quickly and easily see the big picture and explore the data. We’re also laying the groundwork for using it in additional ways that deliver value that matters to researchers and are looking forward to working with our customers to identify how to best do that.’

In this release, the generative AI window in Phebi enables researchers to query within and across responses. The company plans to continually make new capabilities available via the window. In addition to those capabilities, this release automatically splits out 9 participant voices in a group setting for analysis, saves time and money by selecting and processing for emotion only certain transcribed records in call center settings, and enables faster client reporting via emotion report downloads via the .PNG format.

Phebi is a unique, award-winning combination of voice tech, research-based nonconscious analysis of how people speak, and AI. In quant, qual, and CX work, Phebi detects signals as people speak and applies behavioral science to reveal what they really feel behind the words they say. It is a fast, easy add-on to the platforms researchers already use that captures responses via audio and video, instantly translates and transcribes them, and provides emotion scores. Researchers can see patterns and moments of peak emotion by subgroup, topic and/or tag; do analysis with interactive reports; and filter, drag, and drop to create ‘highlight reels’ that deliver memorable presentations. Phebi is available on a per-project basis and is even more affordable at scale.
