Do Not Track Disclosure
We support Do Not Track (“DNT”). Do Not Track is a preference you can set in your web browser to inform websites that you do not want to be tracked.

We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service, to provide the Service on our behalf, to perform Service-related services and/or to assist us in analyzing how our Service is used.

Phebi operates data servers exclusively for EU residents. Data collected in the EU does not leave the EU.

We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third party sites or services.
Only persons age 18 or older have permission to access our Service. Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13 (“Children”).
We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you learn that your Children have provided us with Personal Information, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Information from a child under age 13 without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.
California Resident’s CCPA Rights
California residents have the following additional rights available under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) effective January 1, 2020.
Personal Information Collected and Processed
The personal information collected by Phebi’s software is limited to digital files that contain audio and/or video responses to surveys, interviews, and other research methods where respondents have agreed with Phebi’s customers to supply information in those formats and associated browser type, operating system, and device information.
Phebi’s customers may supply Phebi with additional personal information supplied by respondents to use in categorizing responses.
Individual’s rights under the CCPA
Right to know
California residents have the right to request that Phebi sends them the following information:
- The categories of personal information collected.
- The categories of sources from which Phebi collected the personal information.
- The business or commercial purpose for collecting personal information.
- The categories of third parties with whom Phebi shares personal information.
- The specific pieces of personal information Phebi has collected.

Right to Delete

Right to Opt out of ‘Sale’
CCPA defines the term ‘sell’ broadly. Its meaning includes ‘renting, releasing, disclosing, disseminating, making available, [and] transferring…for monetary or other valuable consideration.’
Under this definition, and the CCPA’s broad definition of ‘personal information,’ some information Phebi shares with customers and Phebi customers share with their clients in connection with research results may constitute a ‘sale’ under CCPA. California residents have the right to request that Phebi does not ‘sell’ any personal information in this manner. Phebi will not discriminate against any person for exercising their privacy rights under the CCPA by doing any of the following in response:
- Deny goods or services.
- Charge different prices or rates for goods or services, including through the use of discounts or other benefits, or impose penalties.
- Provide a different level or quality of goods or services.
- Suggest that a person may receive a different price or rate for goods or services or a different level or quality of goods or services.
Information ‘Sold’ and Disclosed for a Business Purpose
California residents also have the right to know what categories of personal information Phebi has ‘sold’ or disclosed for a business purpose, and the third parties to whom that information was ‘sold’ or disclosed.
In the last 12 months Phebi has ‘sold’ the following categories of information to our clients in connection with the delivery of Phebi services: (1) respondent video and audio; (2) browser type, operating system, and device information; and (3) other information supplied by Phebi’s customers that customers use to categorize responses.
In the last 12 months Phebi has disclosed the following categories of information to its customers for business purposes: (1) respondent video and audio; (2) browser type, operating system, and device information; and (3) other information supplied by Phebi’s customers such as names; unique identifiers used by our customers (e.g., as required for secure database management, recruiting, and honoraria distribution); demographic data, such as age, sex, race/ethnicity, marital status, ZIP code, income and education levels.
Right to Use an Authorized Agent
California residents have the right to designate an authorized agent to make a request under the CCPA on their behalf. To verify the authorization of an agent Phebi will require a signed, written authorization from each California resident.
If a California resident makes a request to access or delete information, or to opt out of the sale of personal information, we may ask the resident for additional information to verify their identity. This information may include their full name, birth date, phone number, email address, or other basic personal information about the resident.
